Northwest Arkansas Community Foundation awards twelve scholarships.

Springdale, AR—The board of directors for Northwest Arkansas Community Foundation (NWACF) announces 12 scholarships for $20,300 from the following funds:

    Stanley & Annabel Applegate Scholarship Fund - Jodie Clark and Amanda Pate will continue their studies at the University of the Ozarks.

    Bill Fleeman Memorial Scholarship Fund - Rebecca Early plans to attend Southwest Missouri State University, Phuong Kim Nguyen plans to attend the University of Arkansas, and Rebecca Strain plans to attend Drury University. All are graduates of Rogers High School.

    Willie George Scholarship Fund - Dawn Shaddon will continue at HarBer School of Nursing.

    Ryan Gibson Memorial Fund - Sarah Kirk, a graduate of Springdale High School, plans to attend Oklahoma State University as a pre-medical science major.

    Harold Henson Scholarship Fund - Jose Aguayo and Holly Hood (given in memory of Parker Woods) will enroll at the University of Arkansas. Both are Springdale High School graduates.

    Carl & Alleen McKinney Scholarship Fund - Tiffany Akins plans to attend Leon's Hair Training Academy, and Justin Griffiths plans to attend Northwest Technical Institute. Both are graduates of Bentonville High School.

    Weiser Family Scholarship Fund - Eric Iban will attend the University of the South Pacific and is a graduate of Springdale High School.

Suzanne Ward, executive director for NWACF, stated, "We always look forward to this time of the year. Bringing donors and their scholarship recipients together makes this a special event."

"Today we had the opportunity to bring donors, fund representatives, and recipients altogether at the annual scholarship luncheon.
