Springdale, AR Northwest Arkansas Community Foundation (NWACF) honored scholarship donors and their recipients at fifth annual scholarship reception on May 19 in the Foundation offices in Har-Ber Meadows. This year, NWACF had seven scholarship funds that awarded twelve scholarships.
One of the highlights of the event was recognizing Amanda Pate, first recipient of the Stanley and Annabel Applegate Scholarship in 2001, who graduated earlier from University of the Ozarks (UOC). Amanda was joined by Jodie Clark, who recently completed her sophomore year at UOC, and Beth Slaughter, recent graduate of Springdale High School. Dr. Stanley Applegate also holds the distinction of being the first donor to NWACF in the fall of 1999.
