Springdale, AR Northwest Arkansas Community Foundation approved $13,500 in grants to six different nonprofit organizations from the Cheers for Children Fund. This round of grants is the second cycle for the Fund, having approved seven grants for $10,000 in December. This fund was created to provide donors with both anonymity and pertinent research to fund organizations that deal with child abuse and neglect.
The following six organizations received grants:
Children Safety Center
$2,000 for children endangered by production and sale of methamphetamine.
Court Appointed Special Advocates (C.A.S.A.)
$2,000 to increase hours of part-time coordinator.
EOA - Children's House
$1,750 to purchase/replace classroom furniture.
Northwest Arkansas Children's Shelter
$3,750 for clothing and medical services.
Restoration Ministries - Children's Advocacy Center
$2,000 to support a fulltime summer medical intern.
The Beau Foundation
$2,000 for prenatal services.
Jack Eaton, Executive Director of Northwest Arkansas Children's Shelter, expressed gratitude to the Cheers for Children Fund.

Northwest Arkansas Community Foundation is a public charity whose mission is to connect donors to their charitable passions. It has given out more than $3 million in grants in its five-year history to organizations throughout northwest Arkansas.
