The newest donor advised fund was established on December 16, 2000 by the former Northwest Medical Center of Washington County Foundation. Faced with the same set of circumstances facing other organizations dedicated to raising funds for the two hospitals sold to a for-profit company, the board of directors elected to honor its roots by the choice of name. Their mission is to continue serving the community through the establishment of this donor advised fund in the Northwest Arkansas Community Foundation. The Fund has not yet established guidelines regarding future recommendations for grants.
