This donor advised fund was established by James R. "Dick" Bennett on December 18, 2001.

Bennett is a retired University of Arkansas professor of English who has devoted a lifetime to the promotion and advocacy of peace, justice, and environmental causes. Through a series of life experiences, Bennett became fervently committed to peace and is involved in countless organizations and events toward that aim, helping to found Fayetteville's OMNI's Center for Peace, Justice, and Ecology.

Bennett's desire to support OMNI's goals were also combined with the ability through An Advised Fund to recommend grants to other organizations committed to the advancement of a culture of peace through nonviolent methods in the United States. As An Advised Fund, Bennett can recommend grants to legitimate nonprofit agencies that will later be approved by NWACF Board of Directors.

Currently, OMNI is not accepting proposals from outside agencies for funding.
