Benton County Sunshine School

Since 1958, Benton County Sunshine School has been serving people in Northwest Arkansas who have developmental disabilities or delays, or are "at risk". These disabilities may include cerebral palsy, autism, mental retardation, epilepsy, and Down Syndrome. Although most of those we serve are between the ages of birth to five years, we also serve people of all ages through our Community Support Program and Respite Program.

Sunshine School's mission states, in part, "...to enable people with developmental disabilities to move toward lifestyles characterized by independence, self acceptance and community participation...in fulfillment of the basic dignity and worth of all people."
