Youth Bridge beginnings can be traced to the establishment of Boyland in 1963 in Winslow, Arkansas. Boyland was combined with Indian Trail House and Youth Attention Home in 1974 to form Youth Bridge, Inc.
The first Youth Bridge Emergency Shelter opened in 1992 in Fayetteville through donations and a grant from the City of Fayetteville. In 1997, a Therapeutic Group Home was opened to serve adjudicated youth needing an alternative to incarceration. The second Youth Bridge Emergency Shelter serving Benton County opened in Centerton in 1999.
