Donors can use the flexibility and permanence of NWACF to create their own fund or take advantage of the following:
Agency Endowment Fund
This is a permanent charitable fund that provides ongoing support for a specific organization or charitable purpose. For many organizations, placing an endowment with NWACF has numerous advantages over the creation of a separate foundation to handle investments. In turn, the organization benefits from the financial management expertise offered by our board of directors. The organization receives the income from their fund and makes the decisions on where it will be spent. NWACF provides planned giving support and services to agencies with endowments placed with them and helps promote these endowments to professional advisors who work with clients on wills, trusts and other significant gifts. Click Agency Endowment Overview for additional information. Click Agency Endowment Fund Agreement to review a generic agency endowment fund agreement.

Horizon Society Fund
This is a mid-level endowment that is attractive to individuals and organizations because a fund can be started for a minimum of $600 a year and build towards a minimum of $15,000 or $25,000 depending on the type of fund. Funds that are completely unrestricted or designated to support one agency can be established for a minimum of $15,000. All other types must have a minimum of $25,000. When the fund reaches its minimum, it can make grants. A restricted fund could be set up by an agency to build their endowment such as the Botanical Garden Society of the Ozarks. An unrestricted fund allows the Foundation's Board of Directors to use the income from the fund for the community's most urgent needs. Click Horizon Society Fund Overview for additional information. Click Horizon Society Fund Agreement to review a generic Horizon Society Fund agreement.
