Our Purpose
Northwest Medical Center Auxiliary was established in 1952 to support the Springdale Memorial Hospital, now the Northwest Medical Center of Washington County, in Springdale, Arkansas. Our mission includes providing volunteer service to the Medical Center and promoting the health and welfare of the community in Benton and Washington Counties.

Projects and services of the Auxiliary include:

• Annual Fall Craft Show - all proceeds contributed to the Jones Center for Families



• Thrift Shop in Springdale - all proceeds contributed to the grant program



• Gift Shops at Northwest Medical Center of Washington County - proceeds contributed to the grant program



• Christmas Tree Light Sales in honor of loved ones



• Volunteer Services at Northwest Medical Center of Washington County

Areas of Interest
Northwest Medical Center of Washington County Auxiliary provides financial support to a wide range of nonprofit organizations. Our primary areas of interest are:

• Health Education — all levels of education, with a focus on prevention of disease and promotion of healthy lifestyles.



• Community Health and Wellness — services that promote the independence of our residents and access to healthcare services.



• Human Services — support services to vulnerable populations with a special focus on children and families.

Types of Funding
We accept requests for capital expenditures, special projects, emergency relief, research, and education. We do not accept requests for endowment development. We will review grants from $5,000 to $20,000.

Grant applications are accepted from organizations in Benton and Washington counties; however, priority is given to programs that include services for Springdale and Bentonville.

Application Procedures
Please review these guidelines before submitting an application. If you believe your organization's program fits the guidelines, we encourage you to submit a brief letter (no more than two pages), providing the following information:

• Statement of need and population to be served
• Purpose of grant and amount of funds requested
• Expected outcomes and how they will be measured
• Timeline for the project

Attachments to the proposal should include:

• An itemized budget for the project
• Other expected sources of funding
• Proof of nonprofit status — IRS 501(c)(3) letter
• List of your Board of Directors

Restrictions
Applications will not be accepted from individuals, or for political or sectarian religious purposes.

Application Review Process
Applications may be submitted at any time. The grant review committee of the Northwest Medical Center of Washington County Auxiliary generally meets quarterly to review proposals and award grants.
